We did this tour late in late December. Weather in Istanbul was mild, and aided in us spending a lot of time outside. Our hotel was Ramada Golden Horn which was comfortable and the breakfast was decent.
The guide from the local agency was very knowledgeable, but her English was basic..Also, she guided us to a restaurant under the "Galata" bridge which was basically a tourist trap.
Travel to Izmir was a breeze, we were picked up and driven to "Kusadasi" . The hotel overlooked the Harbor. Breakfast and Lunch was included here but left a lot to be desired as the hotel had large tour groups and the dining room staff did not keep up with replenishing the food. The tour to Ephesus was really good and out guide was excellent.
The Pammukule trip involved a lot of driving and the weather didn't cooperate as it was raining, but both the driver and the guide did the best under circumstances.
The flight to Kayseri was comfortable and we were picked up and driven to Hanedan Cappadocia Cave Hotel which was an hour and 20 minutes away. The hotel is one of a kind and food and service is exemplary.
The tour of Cappadocia is specatacular. Our only regret is that we could not ride the Hot air balloons due to weather.
I would highly recommend this tour .
