About the tour

After you are picked up from your hotel, it is time to discover the Temples! The first stop of the tour is "Ghar Dalam", a prehistoric site which was discovered in the 19th century. During a series of excavations on this location animal bones and human remains and artifacts were discovered. The site consists of a cave, a Victorian style exhibition, a didactic display and a garden with indigenous plants and trees. 

After the first stop, the tour continues to the southern edge of Malta. Here you will visit the Temples of Hagar Qim & Mnajdra. The megalithic complex of Hagar Qim is on top of a hill. From here you can enjoy the magnificent view over the sea and the small island Fifla. Then only 500 metres from Hagar Qim stands the Mnajdra megalithic Temple. This is an outstanding example of a structure which illustrates a significant stage in human history.
