My husband and I recently visited St Vincent for the first time on a cruise ship stop. After investigating tours and options, we chose this tour based on very positive reviews. Communication with Fraser prior to the tour was excellent. We promptly got off the ship to meet at the tour meeting point, and were very impressed with the organization of the different tour groups, guides in company shirts, and efficient collection of the tour payment (although we had been told the payment would me made after the tour). There were apparently going to be two mini-buses from our cruise ship for the tour we'd chosen. The first group of us were led to our bus, and we all got inside. Then we sat and sat and sat on the bus. The guide had left. She came back, and we asked what the hold up was. She said we were waiting for other passengers. We couldn't leave without the other bus, because they had the money for the entrance fee for Dark View Waterfall. Finally after 45 minutes in the bus we left! We stopped at a viewpoint, a small village, and the location where Pirates of the Caribbean was filmed. Our guide told us that the other bus was running late, and they wouldn't be making those stops (so we were lucky). We arrived at the waterfall in pouring rain. Communication was poor here. We were told not to hike up to the second falls due to it being too slippery in the pouring rain. Most of us were back in the bus a long time before the last couple people returned. They had gone to the upper falls. I have no idea where our guide was. As we left the waterfall parking lot, we were stopped. We all had to pay the admission to the waterfall ($2/person). It's not a big deal, but it was supposed to be included in the tour cost and was also the stated reason why we waited 45 minutes for the other bus. Our final stop was at a black sand beach. Other than a restroom and a covered picnic table, there were no facilities. We were initially told the time we'd be leaving, but ended up staying an extra 30-40 minutes. We had to wait for the second bus while they made the stops that we were told we'd been lucky to see in the morning. At the beach, we were given fruit, beer, and rum punch (which arrived with the other bus). We arrived back at the cruise ship one and a half hours after the scheduled tour ending time. I'm not sure how we started 45 minutes late, and the whole tour was an hour and a half late. Also, the tour info as well as the tour banner posted at the cruise port said that towels and water shoes would be provided. Yes, those were apparently on the other bus. Overall, it was a mildly interesting tour. Our tour guide's presentation was disorganized and she never got back to topics she told us she'd explain later. She was fairly hard to understand, and I couldn't understand anything the driver said. The two of them seemed to chat together increasingly throughout the tour. Another strange part of the tour was when we stopped at a roadside stand that sold black fish (i.e. whale meat). The guide bought a couple containers. I thought that they were going to give everyone a small taste (if people wanted to try it). But, no - the guide and the driver ate it themselves. I've never had that happen before on a tour anywhere.
