Deceivingly nice office, for a very dis-organized company. Captain Glen left a LOT to be desired, from the very beginning, compared to other boat tours we've been on in Kauai. He wasn't funny, informative, entertaining, engaging, or a good DJ. The crew was only made up of 2 young girls. Instead of narrating the trip to us, the captain spent the majority of the tour, talking to the girls, as they took turns sitting upstairs with him.
30 minutes into the trip, the crew realized that a group of 5 people who were on board, were actually supposed to be on a shorter, cheaper tour. We had to turn the whole boat around & went all the way back to the dock, just to find that a fuel tanker was in the way of docking, so the stow-away group got to stay on the boat & we had to start our travels over, with windier weather.
The swells made it miserable for almost everyone. Whoever wasn't throwing up, was next to/near someone that was!
An hour into the tour, I had to ask for music to be turned on, and then had to ask that it be turned up so we could even hear it over the engine & wind noise. Playlist was super random & boring!...oldies, jazz & country...I had to request for island music to be played, like they do on the other tours, and only got a couple decent Hawaiian songs outta that.
I'm convinced that the lack of narration & animation thru the tour, by the captain, lent to more people getting nauseous, because there wasn't a consistent distraction for their thoughts, as we dealt with the large swells.
The boat was small, with a very poor design/layout. The front of the boat only accommodated about 6 people sitting, and soaked everyone. The view for everyone seated in the back of the boat, was the 2 restroom doors, which made every entry & exit very awkward!
We couldn't wait for the trip to be over! We paid over $1,300 for my family of 4 to do this trip, and feel horribly ripped off! We'll NEVER book anything with Holo Holo again.
