We did a private 6-day lodge safari with Suricata for our honeymoon, our guide was Vincent. We stayed at the Lake Manyara Lodge, Sereonora Serengeti Wildlife Lodge, and Ngorongoro Sereonora Lodge. Our experience was absolutely INCREDIBLE!
First, our guide Vincent: He was so knowledgable, friendly, and kind. We were with him, and he made us feel absolutely welcome, comfortable, and safe everywhere we want. He answered countless questions, and always impressed us with the breadth of his knowledge. He went to school for wildlife (I forget the specific program / degree) but it definitely showed - he knows so much! He was absolutely INCREDIBLE at finding animals, with a gift for spotting them that constantly impressed us.
The safari itself: Thanks to Vincent (and good luck!), we not only saw the big 5, but we even saw a successful cheetah hunt, with two cheetahs hunting down a gazelle. You are able to get so close to the animals, and Vincent does a great job of giving you as much time as you want in all of the different areas. Every day, the food given to us on the safari was absolutely delicious. I was expecting to just get something simple like sandwiches, but instead we had a full course spread with hot dishes of delicious stews, curries, and pastas.
The company: Suricata is a smaller safari company (around 10 vehicles) and that makes a HUGE difference in quality of service. They are so attentive and take great care with every single customer, compared to the large safari companies that operate hundreds of vehicles. Everyone at Suricata was a delight to work with. From the moment we landed at the airport, they immediately met up with us, and we had someone guiding us throughout TZ from that moment on.
The lodges: we were absolutely blown away by the lodges. I knew they would be nice, but they are absolutely gorgeous. The Ngorongoro lodge in particular is one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever been to, with the most beautiful views I've seen at any hotel. Suricata does an amazing job of booking the best places to stay.
Overall, the value for our experience was immense. We can not thank Suricata, Vincent, Ali, and Hilary enough. I am SO so glad that we booked with Suricata.

Ho trovato Suricata Safaris tramite internet e sono rimasto colpito dalle innumerevoli recensioni positive. Così mi sono convinto a scrivergli e mai decisione fu più giusta! Hilary è stato gentilissimo ed è venuto incontro a tutte le nostre richieste: abbiamo alloggiato in ottime strutture con dei paesaggi meravigliosi e mangiando davvero bene. Mandela (la guida) è stata fantastico per tutto il viaggio portandoci in giro per tutti i parchi nelle zone più nascoste e soprattutto ci ha dato grande sicurezza nella guida sia durante il safari che durante i trasferimenti. Pertanto, se avete voglia di fare un Safari in Tanzania, e volete pagare per un servizio di qualità, la scelta deve essere Suricata!
Abbiamo partecipato ad un safari di 6 giorni visitando Terengeri, Serengeti (compreso il Nord) Ngorogoro e Manyara.
Abbiamo visto tutti gli animali (tranne il rarissimo rinoceronte) , e abbiamo avuto la fortuna di assistere alla grande migrazione degli gnu sul fiume Mara, un'esperienza indimenticabile.
Il tutto grazie ad Ezechiele, una guida preparata, un ragazzo serio, sempre disponibile e di ottima compagnia, ma senza essere invadente.
Strutture molto accoglienti, compresi i campi tendati, e cibo di qualità.
Il programma in termini di alloggi è stato un po' variato, ma hanno sempre rispettato gli standard richiesti.
Safari super consigliato.
