Had a wonderful tour with King Coconut holidays and Dammika. Contacted them through an online portal and after a few initial hiccups got a few responses. Chose King Coconut holidays – Gayan is a thorough professional and gave us tips and guidance to plan a proper itinerary. The driver he assigned – Dammika – was more of a travel companion than a driver. With Dammika, we were completely assured that we will have an amazing holidays in SL. Though, the pick-up at the airport was a bit chaotic, however, once Dammika stepped in, we were assured and started our journey through the pearl island. We visited Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Ella, Mirissa and Hikkaduwa. Dammika was more than our guide. He was more of a trusted friend, and full of knowledge. His insights into historical and natural wonders of SL was really useful and knowledgeable. He was attentive to our requirements, our demands and we were so assured of his driving skills. He has extensive knowledge of the sights, restaurant, instagram spots, history, and roads of Sri Lanka. Also, his driving techniques are an absolute must if you are traveling in Sri Lanka, which has many mountain roads. Sometimes I felt he took pride in showing the best of his country to us. I must give a personal thanks to him for arranging the Train tickets from Nuwara Eliya to Ella at the last minute. The train journey was the highlight of our trip – Thanks to Dammika. But besides all that, he is also extremely friendly and courteous and the conversations with him are so interesting that the time flies by. He knew when to give us time and space and when to ask to stick to the schedule, without being pushy. I must appreciate Gayan for calling up every day to check on our wellbeing and how our tour was going on. He recommended a few hotels as well without being pushy and allowed to choose at our own convenience. However, I would suggest to improve on one thing, The airport Pickup should be coordinated well in advance so people don't have to arrive and call to find out where is your driver - but once this initial hiccup is done it was a very smooth tour. We recommend Dammika without reservation, will contact him again either for advice or a ride and wish him and his family from the bottom of our hearts the best! Thank you very much Dammika! We stayed in Avani, Kalutra. It was a great experience. The staff and the services were upto the mark. Our tour guide was very punctual and cooperative. He used to take us to shops also, and used to click nice photos of ours.

I went to Sri Lanka for my very first travel as a solo traveler . Was worried that its will be hard to get know about how things works and about my safety. But my driver+tour guide Mahinda didn’t even give me a chance to worry about anything he make sure i was happy all the time and i had great memories. Met him as my guide left as my friend.
