Armando was incredible, and his professionalism, patience, and depth of knowledge about the history of architecture such as El Mirador de Los Arcos (aqueduct) and the city of Querétaro was impressive. I selected a tour that had a guide who spoke English, and thus, I was the only one on this tour and could ask as many questions as I wanted. Since the tour was in September and we are approaching Mexican Independence Day, his discussion of the city founders presented on the various statues and the politics of the 15th through 19th centuries resonated since much of it applies today. There are street names in the Mexican town where I live that now take on new meanings for me because of this tour. He also discussed the history and significance of the Church and convents and its contribution to the growth of Querétaro over the centuries. It was a rich experience and one that I thoroughly enjoyed.
