We were so fortunate to have a truly amazing light show the evening we went. The vehicle is very comfortable and takes a maximum of 15 people so when you get out there are not masses of bodies jostling for the best spot. Our driver/guides Arnt and Martine were excellent hosts knowing where to go. They had an onboard tracker and a camera fitted to the roof so you could see live footage of any lights that were outside so we knew when there was a show. We spent a good while at one location where Arnt and Martine expertly set up a log fire and prepared food and hot drinks for everyone from the tardis like back of the van. The temperature dropped to about -17c whilst we’re here but the additional thermal clothing did its job; the company provide thermal suits and boots for anyone who wants them. Our trip was meant to last about 6.5 hours but the incredible light show went on for hours. Arnt said he had never experienced such a long light show in all the time he had been doing the trips; 6 years in his case so we were incredibly fortunate. We headed back to Tromso which was a good 2.5 hours long but still stopped a couple of times to take in the lights we hitch we’re still going. The temperature had dropped to -25.5c by this time. We were dropped off right outside our accommodation which was a blessing as we got back at just after 2-30am some 8.5 hours after we had set out. Highly recommend this tour with this company.

Arnt, Anna (his wife) and their Daughter in law, were the perfect choice to visit Northern Lights in Tromso, No. Our original tour was scheduled for Sunday March 19, 2023, and as per the terms and conditions if we are unable to watch the Northern lights on the scheduled day, they would take us the next day at 50% of the original cost. However Arnt sent an email to us requesting to postpone the tour to the next day as it was impossible for us to watch the Northern Lights on the scheduled day. IN case we are not accepting this proposal, they were willing to issue full refund to us. however we accepted their proposal to go and watch the Lights the next day. They could have taken us on 19th and we would have returned empty handed and again paid 50% for watching the lights on 20th. But they were very honest. It was very noble and kind of them. On 20th we left to watch the Northern Lights and Arnt and their daughter in law took great care of us, by proving warm clothes, snow shoes, campfire, and Vegetarian Food. We left at 7pm and finally at around 1:00am they showed us the Northern Lights, took our pictures which were quite professional and then at 4:00am they dropped us back to our place of stay. They were just amazing. I would recommend EVERYONE to select Arctic Circle Tours for their Northern Lights tour. Most amazing People, honest, and went out of the way to see that we remain comfortable.

We had a fantastic evening. The hosts were excellent and very friendly. We thought the trip would be around 5 to 6 hours but as we saw the northern lights for over 6 hours no-one wanted to go back so the trip ended up around 9 hours. We got changed into the suits and boots provided at the hotel as if you see the lights everyone jumps off the mini-bus quickly to take photos. We didn't realise you see them better on photos as your eyes filter out some of the colours. We saw the lights quite early around 7.45 and they stayed until 2.30am. Driver said it was the best he had seen in the last 6 months. We really enjoyed the spot where we set up camp with a fire and chairs to sit around. We were provided with hot drinks and soup and hot dogs to cook over the fire. It was the highlight of our 5 day trip. By chance we had booked a 50 seater coach trip but cancelled the day before when we saw this one in the tourist office so cancelled that one and booked this as it was a smaller group and we met people from Jersey, USA, Germany and Italy so was very interesting chatting to them as well.
