this tour was honestly one of the best travel experiences of my life. from the moment we landed at Cairo Airport, everything was handled smoothly. We were met right at arrivals by a friendly representative who helped with the visa, luggage, and check-in at the hotel. That level of care continued throughout the trip.
Day 1–2: Cairo & The Pyramids
Our adventure started in Cairo, exploring the Great Pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx, and the Egyptian Museum. Standing in front of the pyramids was surreal, no photo can capture how massive and timeless they are. Our guide explained everything with so much passion that we could almost feel the ancient history around us. We also visited Khan El Khalili Bazaar, a colorful maze of shops, spices, and sounds that gave us a real taste of local life.
Day 3–6: The Nile Cruise (Luxor to Aswan)
We took a short flight to Luxor, where our cruise began. The ship was clean, comfortable, and beautifully organized. Each day felt like a dream.
In Luxor, we toured the Valley of the Kings, where the tombs still have bright colors after thousands of years, and the Temple of Hatshepsut, carved into the cliffs.
The Hot Air Balloon ride at sunrise was pure magic. Seeing the Nile and temples from above was unforgettable.
Sailing down the Nile was peaceful, watching daily life unfold along the riverbanks.
We stopped at Edfu Temple and Kom Ombo Temple, both filled with stunning carvings and history.
In Aswan, we visited the Philae Temple and the High Dam, and even took a small boat ride to a Nubian village, where locals welcomed us warmly with tea and smiles.
Day 7–8: Abu Simbel & Return to Cairo
The highlight of the trip was definitely Abu Simbel. It’s a long drive from Aswan, but seeing the colossal statues of Ramses II at sunrise made every moment worth it. The temple’s precision and size are unbelievable and it’s something you truly have to experience in person.
After that, we flew back to Cairo, had a relaxing evening, and spent our final day visiting the Old Cairo area. The Coptic and Islamic sites were a perfect way to end the journey.
Throughout the trip, the guides were knowledgeable and kind, the drivers always on time, and the cruise staff went above and beyond, remembering our names, favorite dishes, and making us feel at home. The organization of the whole tour was flawless; every transfer, flight, and tour ran smoothly.
If you’re looking for a trip that combines ancient wonders, local culture, comfort, and genuine hospitality, this 9-day experience is exactly that. It’s not just sightseeing, it’s a journey through time guided by people who truly love their country.
