Archeologische tour in Tulum en Coba met Kuxtal Cenote

Picked up late on a shuttle and shuffled onto a bus. We had not had time for coffee or food yet and I asked the guide if I had time to get coffee. He said no time, I then watched him walk into the coffee shop to get himself a coffee from the bus. We stopped for a half hour after a 2 hour drive, but there was no explanation for the stop and no one got off bus. We finally got to where luck wound be served at off the bus at 1:30 pm. That’s a lot of time without food. Also the toilet on the bus is only for number 1. That’s right, you are SOL if you need to S. Remember to take your Imodium before getting on the bus ????. The authentic Mexican cuisine lunch included mashed potatoes that came from a box and spaghetti. We were instructed to not bring refreshments… Well that’s because we have to buy water, soda or beer. It’s an easy sale to a captive audience on a bus. I promised a guide who spoke English. Very few words were spoken in English except to sell us the drink package, and when to get back on the bus. I was particularly disappointed to see the guide vanish once we were in Tulum. We had zero commentaries or information on this archeological sight. What a lost opportunity. I left an anorak jacket on the bus and it was stolen while we were in Tulum. The really really bad part was when we were finally dropped off to get the ferry back the tour guide said it was better for them to drop us off 200 metres away from the ferry. We had 5 minutes to catch the 9 o’clock. It’s a good thing we are runners. Thanks Juan ???? Don’t waste your money .

Via Marriott Bonvoy Activities boekten we de archeologische tour in Tulum en Muyil met Cenote Wayak, en een ophaalservice bij het JW Marriott Hotel in Cancun om 7 uur op 27 december. Het wordt georganiseerd door Mayab Travel Tours. We bevestigden de tour de dag ervoor (op 26 december) via de JW Marriott-conciërge die Mayab Travel Tours belde en zij bevestigden dat de pick-up om 7 uur zou zijn bij het JW Marriott. Om 7 uur stonden we klaar in het JW Marriott. Na 30 minuten te hebben gewacht, probeerde de conciërge contact op te nemen met het reisbureau en kon uiteindelijk na ongeveer 30 minuten doorkomen, dus we wachtten nu een uur. Hij kwam erachter dat ze de pick-up niet hadden gepland bij het JW Marriott, wat vreemd is omdat we de dag ervoor hebben bevestigd. Dus, na meer dan een uur te hebben gewacht, vertelden ze de conciërge dat omdat ze onze pick-up niet hadden gepland, we het hotel moesten verlaten en naar een restaurant buiten de accommodatie moesten lopen voor een pick-up die binnen 15 minuten zou kunnen aankomen (geen garantie van dat) . En we hadden geen garantie dat ons gezin bij elkaar kon zitten op de 2 uur durende busreis of dat ze ons zelfs hadden laten inschrijven voor de tour (en wat de gevolgen daarvan zouden zijn). De hele ervaring was verpest en onze familie besloot dat het het beste was om de tour te annuleren. Dit bedrijf reflecteert niet goed op Marriott (aangezien het via hen was geboekt). Ik heb nog steeds geen verontschuldiging van iemand ontvangen.

Mala organización y logística del operador. Pasamos 4 horas arriba del bus, recogiendo personas en el camino, para llegar a la primera parada. Los guías poco preparados para contener al grupo y sus legítimas opiniones sobre el servicio otorgado. Hubieron retrasos que nos perjudicó la permanencia en los lugares (10 minutos para recorrer, 30 minutos para almorzar!!!!). Le recomiendo buscar con otros operadores, porque además de cobrarte por todos los extras que no incluyen los paquetes básicos ofrecidos, también piden propinas (tips) sin remordimiento. Ojo, NO conviene pagar el paquete diamante para agregar las bebidas durante el viaje (lo hice para Chichén Itzá) porque, la información no es clara y las condiciones para acceder a las barras es de lo peor, alejado de todo el mundo para que en lo posible no puedas consumir nada o lo justo en el poquísimo tiempo que te dan para ello. Logramos ver lo que queríamos? Claro que sí, pero a un costo demasiado alto para el pésimo servicio que estás pagando.
