Our ride service operator did not complete his assignment upon arrival at the airport for pickup.
He was not there although he said he was. There was no contact to find us until our time had expired. Funny, 3 minutes after my booking in September 2023 he sent a message on how wonderful everything would be.
I searched and searched all over the location. There were multiple drivers with signs for the clients. None were for me. This operator will swear up and down he was there. HE DID NOT DO HIS JOB. He notes in his no show message the time of our arrival at 2:57pm yet did not contact us until our time was over after 4pm.
Imagine the anxiety? We were left to the scams of Mexican taxis charging us more than 50% of what we had paid. My wife was hysterical at the notion that we would spend the night at the airport. What was I to do? In addition, we did not know if we were at risk of being robbed further and left on the highway.
I'd appreciate the courtesy of a refund. I was NOT going to waste more of my time and emotional well-being on my vacation. AND certainly, was not going to trust Viator to get me to my return flight home on time.
This totally ruined the start of our vacation having to pay out cash that was slated for other activities that subsequently missed.
It would be very difficult to trust Viator again. It’s sad that customers NOT service providers are penalized.
