Chocolade decadentie St.Lucia

Kristoffer and Wendy were awesome to work with. They took time to listen to what we were looking for and they just made it happen. We boomed six different things with them and they were all delightful abd well organized. I highly recommend the Luxury Seafood Tour and the Chocolate Tour. They were our favorite. They can also book private tours with a private drive names Charleson. We spent a few days with him and I would highly recommend it as opposed to being in large groups where you have less time for the actual experience.

My husband and I just went to St. Lucia 2.9-2.15. In advance via sandals website we booked teh chocolate decadence excursion which sounded great ON PAPER. We stayed at Sandals Grand St. Lucian and booked this day excursion for the mid point in our vacation. All I can say is DO NOT TAKE THIS TOUR unless you want to waste an entire day of an expensive vacation being carted from here to there in many forms of transportation with little to no information. We left our hotel at 7:55 AM to be jammed into a van with many other people taken at rush hour to Castries and left at the cruise port. This took almost an hour in bumper to bumper traffic and erratic driving. We then got put on a catameran to "sail to soufrie" except what they do not tell you is the boat ride is really a glorified ferry ride. Our group got to the boat first adn boarded and they sat us ther for nearly an hour waiting for various other people from other cruise ships adn resorts to board the caterman to sail to soufrie. The boat ride was ok however it is just a ferry to get a bunch of people from a bunch of resorts to one spot to then depart on many various tours. We sailed and arrived in Soufrie and with a megaphone were herded and called like cattle by resort name and our room numbers to get in one of about 10 lines depending on which tour we were signed up for. We chose the chocolate tour and so we then got into ANOTHER SMALLER VAN crammed in like sardines and were driven from the port to hotel chocolate. Nearly three hours of time has pased at this point since we left our hotel and we were in our third method of group transportation when we got dropped off at Hotel Chocolate. We were taken into the lobby of the restaurant and told we were just waiting there to take our lunch orders. The tour guide who worked for the transportation company only (not sandals) randomly disappeared and our entire group became restless and angry. Nearly an hour after our lunch orders were taken and we were not even offered a glass of water and had been just left with no information, we were ifnally told by the tour guide that he was only in charge of getting us from point A to point B and that the tour did not start for another 30 minutes!! We were dropped off at the hotel around 11:00 the tour started an hour later and lunch was an hour or more after that, leaving us there until 2:00 and then we went on to the mud baths where we were told that tour time for our group was not until 3:30! This is a TEN HOUR TOUR only because they do not care about the customer's experience, rather they herd groups together to make it more profitable for the tour companies and they do not care about the user's experience at all. Further, when we booked this tour from sandals we were told that we would be taken by catameran from sandals not carted into a bus, a boat and another bus then dumped off at a hotel with no further information and large delays at every stop. My husband and I had had enough after being abandoned with the rest of our group at HOtel Chocolate and called our resort to find us a driver in the area to come pick us up. We left the tour after paying 500.00, we ate no lunch, made no chocolate, and wasted an entire day of our vacation being herded like animals to benefit the tour companies. I will never book a tour in advance through sandals again. This is the 4th time we have visited either a Sandals or a Beaches and we have never experienced such a terrible tour or disorganized mess like this. We requested our money back and the request was denied, never mind we had to pay to be taken back because we could not take sitting around any longer doing nothing at HOtel Chocolate. The staff there was also entirely clueless and unaccomodating to our group. DO NOT WASTE A DAY when you are paying for an all inclusive vacation doing what we did. This tour is not something Sandals should offer their guests.

Highly recommend. Our tour guide (nicknamed “Spongecake”) was the best— very knowledgeable, friendly, and quite the photographer. We very much enjoyed our time... excellent combination of activities partnered with beautiful catamaran rides to and from Sofrieres. A long day, but lots of fun and a great way to experience various island activities. Plus, gotta give another shout out to Spongecake, he’s the best! ????
