We started our day visiting the capuchin monkeys in the jungle. They were absolutely adorable - some even jumped on our shoulders! We managed to take some incredible pictures.
Next, we went zip-lining through the jungle. Three guides climbed with us and secured the gear on every ride, so all we had to do was to lean back. The zip lines are hundreds of meters long and incredibly fun.
After that, we took a boat tour along the Tarcoles River and saw many large crocodiles, including one very close to the boat! The tour was fantastic - the boat was almost empty, and we spotted a variety of birds along the way. At the entrance, there’s a large souvenir store and a backyard with cacao, cinnamon, ginger, and banana plants. It was amazing to see all these tropical plants up close - I had never seen them before.
Later, we visited another large souvenir shop, which was perfect for shopping. Prices were even lower than at the Tarcoles River store. The shop is connected to a butterfly farm filled with morphos flying all around. It was incredible to see so many butterflies, one sat on my hand. For lunch, we went to a local soda.
The private tour is excellent, with no waiting time at the zip lines, a nearly empty boat for the river tour, and a personal experience with the monkeys.
Our tour guide was exceptional - knowledgeable about the animals, plants, and life in Costa Rica. She made sure we had the best experience, including getting monkeys on our heads and seeing butterflies up close.
The driver was also fantastic, skillfully avoiding traffic and saving us a lot of time. After the tour, he drove us back to the pier, leaving us a few hours to stroll around before our ship sailed. Later, we learned that others had been stuck in traffic for hours - this tour operator ensures you get back on time.
The tour was very well organized, which is impressive given how many stops we made.
Thank you for an unforgettable day! ????☀️????????????????????????
