We don't normally book tours on Viator that don't have reviews but we took a chance on this one. We were the only ones on the trip so we were picked up in a private car. There were water bottles and free wifi for us to use on the ride to Jaco. When we arrived to the ATV tour agency, there was a bit of a problem. Destiny Travel, the Viator tour company, had booked a 2 hour ATV tour for us. The description on Viator advertised that we would see two waterfalls in this amount of time. We told our ATV guide how excited we were to see two waterfalls but he quickly informed us that 2 waterfalls are included in the 3 hour tour not the 2 hour tour. The description was misleading so we called Destiny Travel and they quickly solved the problem by giving us the 3 hour ATV tour rather than the 2 hour. Make sure you know what you are getting before you go!!! The waterfall that would've been the only one in the 2 hour tour is small and definitely not worth the trip but the second one was bigger and we could swim in it. However, there wasn't enough water to jump into it because of the dry season. Our ATV guide David was very kind during the whole ATV tour! I would recommend bringing a scarf or a bandana to cover your nose or mouth while on the ATVs. We didn't and we were covered in dust by the end of the tour and had breathed it in the whole time. Also bring a change of clothes!
After the ATV tour, we were brought to a beautiful hotel where we got a delicious typical lunch and then we had time to go in the hotel pool and out to the beach. Eduardo, our driver, had said to meet at 4 pm for the trip back to San Jose but in the description it says we would watch the sunset. We asked him if we could wait to see it and he happily brought us to a lookout point to see the sunset over the ocean.
A long day but a good day! We would recommend but just confirm the 2 hour vs. 3 hour ATV tour!
