Most tourists in Jordan head to Petra and the Dead Sea. I strongly suggest that they also go to Jerash and Umm Qais. What the Romans left behind is really amazing and thankfully much of theses two cities are well preserved for us to see 2 thousand years later. Jerash is truly amazing. It is massive and also built as a work of art that is especially impressive today, when buildings and cities are only built for practicality. Umm Qais is lower key but also special. And it is odd to look west from it, in Jordan, and see Israel and the Sea of Galilee so close by. And if you are into the history of the area and of the period of the Crusaders, you really should check out the Mohammadians castle/fortress at Aijoun. It is a very impressive defensive structure.
Also, our driver, Tahir, was a pleasant gentleman and very safe driver. The vehicle he drove was extremely clean and comfortable.
