This excursion was easily the highlight of our trip. The dune buggies are a blast to drive and our group was small and fun. Our guide - Ronald - was very fun and shared the history of the village, the devastation of hurricane George, and how the people survived. If you book ahead, I highly encourage you to bring snacks to distribute with village children and a scarf or bandana to tie over your face the ride kicks up a LOT of dust. You can buy these things from the tour provider for a significant upcharge, also. And bring your bathing suit - we stopped for a half hour at the beach, but no one in our group expected it, so we couldn't go swimming!
My only complaint about this tour was the lack of pictures. The company had a guy with a camera that took great shots of us driving, and you could buy the CD of photos after. We tried, but the CD burning was taking too long so the guides said the would drop off the CDs the next day at our hotel. Since this was the highlight of our trip, we were really looking forward to those photos, but they never showed. And there is no direct contract info with the tour company, so we can't even email to get our digital photos sent to us that way. :
