02 Dagen met 01 nacht Petra en Wadi Rum Tour vanuit Eilat Border

Meet and greet at airport was fast, easy and professional. My driver for the entire trip was jihad. He was pleasant, knowledgeable friendly, and became my friend during my travels. During my travel, jihad became my teacher and taught me Arabic numbers and phrases. If I wanted to stop for a photo in the middle of our drive, or something to drink, he was always willing to accommodate me. My tour guide at Petra was Mamoun, he was fabulous, very knowledgeable about archaeology, willing to take a photo if needed, and just a great guy to talk to about Jordan and Petra. My tour of the desert with Mohamed was entertaining and fun. I highly recommend Jordan Horizons. If you’re coming to Jordan book a trip with them.

I cannot say enough good things about this tour company. My family was travelling to Israel and while we really wanted to visit Petra, we were nervous and anxious about several things including the fact that we would be in a different country altogether, this was still during Covid times and none of our contacts in Israel could personally recommend any guides in Jordan. From the first time that I wrote to Andrea ( and believe me, I wrote her many, many emails to check and double check !), I could always count on her reply within a day- most often within a few hours. She was very patient, knowledgeable, organized and flexible to allow us to fashion the tour to suit our needs. Our driver, Hasan, was courteous and friendly. Mohammed, the CEO of this tour group, was extremely responsive when we decided to add an activity at the last moment and to cap it all, our guide at Petra( Mamoun) turned out to be a foremost Jordanian scholar of archaeology who is currently re writing the history of those magnificent buildings. The service and professionalism is beyond excellent and I can say that they made our Petra trip the most memorable part of the entire vacation.

Ik moet bekennen dat ik een beetje nerveus was om dit te doen met mijn 16 - jarige zoon, maar deze tour werd het hoogtepunt van onze reis. Alles was zoals geadverteerd, van ontmoeting en herder door de grens tot het hebben van een geweldige chauffeur en voertuig tot het hebben van aardige, goed geïnformeerde gidsen die ons ontmoeten in Wadi Rum en Petra. Mohammed en Andrea waren zeer communicatief en hielpen me op mijn gemak te voelen over het hele avontuur. Enkele opmerkingen: We verbleven in het Tetra Tree Hotel in Petra en het was schoon en comfortabel, met een fatsoenlijk ontbijt en diner. We hebben allebei nog meer genoten van Wadi Rum dan Petra, maar verbleven in Petra zodat we de menigte de volgende ochtend konden verslaan. In plaats van terug te racen over de grens naar Eilat op de tweede dag, boekten we het Intercontinental Hotel in Aqaba - een fantastisch hotel voor de helft van de prijs van het Eilat-equivalent. Denk er over na! Breng warme kleding en goede regenkleding mee als je in de winter bezoekt. We waren aan het vriezen in Petra!
