Great tour around the Kennel, very informative and the guide knew all the dogs so well that it gave a special connection. We walked around and greated the dogs and got a story connected to most, as well as insights in the sleighdog world. Our kids loved petting the dogs and especially the visit inside the cage to the very friendly dogs. Felt very safe and the we let the kids rund freely amongst the cages with no worries. Would visit again if in the area.

We rented a cabin at Craig's for one night and it was a really nice experience ???? The cabin was cozy and we had the pleasure of visiting all his beautiful huskies and had a ride on a quarter bike with them. They are adorable and well trained. There are in all 53 of them. Very friendly and cuddly. I almost wanted to take one home with me.. In the evening we walked down to the lake, which is only a 5 minutes walk away from the cabin, and had a swin and ran back to enjoy the sauna. Nice. Great experience and worth a visit.

Dog Sledding with Craig and his team at Snowdog was a fantastic experience. I did two tours, one with the dogs and another on Snowmobile. What an experience! The dogs are super friendly and extremely strong (like wow, even the smaller/more slender dogs - helping setting them up for the sleds you got to feel their strength, totally different from pet dogs!). They look very well cared for and i loved the little stories and character quirks the guides told us about each of them - you really see they are part of the family and not just a number (i chose this kennel because they have a small number of dogs and its not a mass tourism thing where the animals just get pushed around and exploited). After the tour you are able to feed the dogs a big chunk of frozen meat (which they happily devour), then help remove their harnesses. You are involved every step of the way and driving the dog sled is simply the best! After the tour, we had a lovely cup of coffee and nice cake in the fire hut over a warming wood fire. The second tour was a private Snowmobile tour (only up to 4 people) - we drove past the Ice hotel up the frozen river (super james bond vibe!!) and into the snowy forest, away from civilization and into the complete wilderness! The snowmobiles they use are top quality and the tour was as long as advertised (in fact i think even a bit longer). I would highly recommend you to look up snowdog if you're around in Kiruna. Craig, his dogs and his team really look after you!
