Excursie naar de kust van Montenegro vanuit Bar of Kotor

This is a rip off, you are basically paying for transportation from the port to Budva Old town which is nothing special about. Next was the picture stop at Sveti Stefan Vewport and then to Skadar lake. There is absolutely nothing to do here other than taking the boat cruise for an additional $20. This was nice. Last stop was Stari Bar which you have to pay an additional $5 to get in. For the price of $104 each all the entry fees should be included and accompanied by the tour guide.

Petar was a great tour guide with good historical information of Montenegro as a whole and gave us options of what to do and our interest's on the tour. We had a boat ride on Skadar Lake, quick tour of the little village by the lake. Then a nice drive with scenic stops for photos on the way to Stari Bar. Stopped at the oldest olive tree and then back to the coast area for an amazing lunch at Pino del mar with an amazing view and great lunch. He got us back to the port by 3:45 pm.

Based on the description we were expecting a private tour with just our family and were surprised to find a minibus with 16 people. We were last on the bus and crammed at the back where the air conditioning did not reach. It was a very hot day so the drive was uncomfortable. We were at the back of the bus and could barely hear the guide speak. We were relieved that we visited places we had hoped to see but did not have any control about how long we spent in each place and only had 30m of actual time in Budva after walking to and from the bus. The description of the tour we were given on Viator said it would be a private tour guide for our sole group and that it would be a private tour with a duration and itinerary suited to us. Therefore the actual day wasn’t in line with our expectations. Having said that the tour guide was lovely, friendly and professional and spoke excellent English and I would highly recommend her.
