Fatima Sanctuary Private Tour vanuit Lissabon

On our second trip to Portugal we were very fortunate to secure our guide from last year Diogo (Andy ) Andrade. We were so impressed last year couldn’t imagine doing this more intensive trip without his guidance Basing ourselves out of Lisbon for 4 days we toured Tomar, Fátima,Batalha, & Albaca. Each location had such a wealth of history and beauty. Each experience was so enhanced by Diogo’s vast knowledge of the history and his obvious passion and pride for his country. He has a talent for imparting so much history but in a way you can enjoy and retain most of it for the next venue. Along the way he selected wonderful restaurants and pastry shops -off the beaten track,where he ordered our meals to give us an experience of local foods-loved the deep fried baby mackerel !!!!! On our last day we drove up the coast stopping for a tour of beautiful Obidos,then on to Nazare for an amazing fish lunch overlooking the spectacular beach and ocean After lunch we wandered around the local merchants the had a surprise visit to the town of Avero-known as the Venice of Portugal. Another amazing pastry shop we tasted the angels double chin-a very sugary concoction. Our final,stop was at the port in Porto where we were to board our river cruise boat -so sad to say adeus to our lovely friend-till next time. Still so many place to see yet in Portugal and parts of Spain with this delightful,fun young man. Thankyou for a truly great experience-you’ve instilled a love of Portugal in all of us-the travelling old ladies????

De absoluut beste tour en gids voor Onze-Lieve-Vrouw van Fatima. GUI was zo deskundig, geduldig en vriendelijk. GUI was uitstekend met aandacht voor detail met verzoeken, ingewikkelde details van het heiligdom en de basiliek, de geschiedenis, het selecteren van het beste restaurant voor de lunch en een laatste stop in een enorm winkelcentrum met veel souvenirs van Onze-Lieve-Vrouw van Fatima. Als ik gezegend ben om terug te kunnen komen, zal ik opnieuw een rondleiding met GUI aanvragen. Bedankt voor een topdag! Tom en Diana

Fernando was een geweldige gids. Hij was zo aardig en deskundig. We gingen op nieuwjaarsdag naar Fatima. Fernando gaf ons zoveel geschiedenis en stapsgewijze informatie over het heiligdom. Hij gaf ons voldoende privétijd zodat we alles in ons op konden nemen. We wisten niet dat de meeste winkels in de stad gesloten zouden zijn. Ik was zo vastbesloten om wat wijwater te halen en hij stopte niet totdat we een open plek vonden die het had. Fernando vroeg ons toen naar onze favoriete soorten eten, zodat hij een lunchrestaurant kon aanbevelen. We kwamen terecht bij Mosteiro Leitao. . . mijn man en ik waren het erover eens dat dit de allerbeste maaltijd was die we in heel Portugal hadden. Het regende zo veel die dag. Fernando nam ons mee naar Nazare om de golven te zien. Hoewel het weer ons erg tegenwerkte, zorgde Fernando er echt voor dat we een geweldige dag hadden. Ik zou deze chauffeur en dit bedrijf ten zeerste aanbevelen! Start tot finish was een 10 .
