Between them they brought a level of experience, calm authority and genuine warmth that made us feel completely safe and supported throughout. Kilimanjaro is a serious undertaking, and summit night in particular demands everything you have but with Veda, Stephen and John alongside us, we never felt anything other than capable and cared for. They were attentive to our individual needs, keeping our spirits high when it mattered most, and always keeping safety at the forefront without ever making us feel held back. Their singular focus was helping us achieve the dream of reaching Uhuru Peak and they delivered.
But the team extends so much further than the guides, and this is where ClimbKili really sets itself apart. Every single person, guides, porters, kitchen staff, was committed, cheerful and professional. Special mention must go to George, our wonderful waiter, who looked after us with such care and good humour at every meal and whose cheerful wake up calls each morning set us up perfectly for the day ahead. John, our camp manager, was flawless. Camp was always perfectly set up and ready when we arrived, no matter the conditions, and he was always on hand whenever we needed anything. And Six joined us on summit night as additional support, which was a welcome extra pair of hands during those final hours.
The food, the logistics, the pacing, the morale, everything was handled with such thoughtfulness and competence. We felt supported not just as a group but as individuals, and that made all the difference.
Summiting Kilimanjaro was one of the most profound experiences of our lives. ClimbKili made it possible, and they made it unforgettable. We cannot recommend them highly enough.
We got so lucky with great weather in early February on the 8 day Lemosho trek! This was a trip I was looking forward to for several months and I'm so glad I went with Climb Kili for both trekking up Kilimanjaro and for the 3 day safari (with flight) after! The 8 days on the mountain and starting at a higher elevation on summit night made that final day easier than I was anticipating and our whole group of 8 solo travelers made it to the summit as one.
Their level of attention to detail and planning made the entire trip that much better. Climb Kili's team had all of the logistics taken care of from the moment you arrived until departing. Having the smaller group size (especially compared to the other big name tour providers on the trail) was much nicer while out hiking each day and for the time together at the campsites.
I hope you get Herment as your lead guide! He looked out for everyone in the group and brought the prefect mix of experience, calm reassurance, laughs, and leadership to the group. The whole crew from the porters to the cook and the assistant guides made you feel welcome and looked after each day.

Mijn vrienden en ik hadden de beste tijd met het beklimmen van de berg kilimanjaro. We hadden deze reis al vijf jaar gepland en Climb Kili overtrof onze verwachtingen. Onze gidsen Veda, Denis en Six waren allemaal fantastisch en zonder hen hadden we de top niet kunnen bereiken. Veda was erg rustig en oplettend. Hij keek altijd naar mensen waarvan hij dacht dat ze het moeilijk hadden en of iedereen het goed deed. Denis deed het geweldig om de sfeer hoog te houden. Zijn grappenhouding en vermogen om de groep aan te moedigen werd zeer gewaardeerd. Six was echt knap en zeer deskundig. Hij leerde ons altijd nieuwe Swahili woorden en vertelde ons leuke weetjes. Speciale schreeuw uit naar onze ober George ook, want niet alleen maakte hij ons wakker elke ochtend met koffie en warme chocolademelk, maar hij kwam ook met ons mee naar de top. Hij gaf ons warme thee net onder Stella Point en hielp een van de mensen in mijn groep naar beneden. De hele bemanning was ook geweldig en je kon zien dat ze het oprecht leuk vonden om ons naar de top te helpen. Mijn favoriete ding dat ze allemaal deden was voor ons zingen toen we terugkwamen in het basiskamp en ons dan allemaal vuiststoten geven omdat we de top haalden. Kortom een fantastische ervaring en ik zou Veda, Denis en Six aanraden als gidsen! !
