8 dagen Lemosho-route Klimmen Mt. Kilimanjaro

We deliberately chose a local company and are so glad it was Kilisa Tours. We had 8 porters, a chef, waiter and 2 guides for us two and we would have not been able to do it without them. Each day they checked our health and advised us on what to do to make it a successful trip. We interacted with the whole team everyday and they all made it such a fantastic experience. We got to know them and learned a lot about Tanzania their culture and life which we would not have in a larger group. I would definitely recommend Kilisa Tours!!!

After researching many tour companies and contacting a few, I selected Kalisa. They were responsive to my questions with straight forward answers. I met with Bakari, my guide the day prior and went over my gear and what to expect with the hike. On the mountain the Kalisa team seemed to be a notch above the others. They left camp as a team and hiked together. Everyone from the porters to Amir, the chef to Bakari had one goal and that was to reach the summit. On summit night I don’t normally ascend with poles but as my legs were getting tired Bakari got my poles and told me to pull myself up the mountain. It worked. Also on summit night Eddy, a porter went along to provide any needed support. The food was good and plentiful. More starch than I usually eat but that is what is needed on the mountain. Amir even served up scratch pizza one night. Hussein, my waiter made sure I had everything I needed while in camp. The porters were amazing. Their sure footedness and durability on the mountain was something to see. They made it all happen. I highly recommend Kalisa tours for your experience.

We have visited Tanzania before, but this was our first time trekking Kilimanjaro. Our lead guide, Bakari, along with assistant guides Nickson and Goodlacky, demonstrated an unparalleled level of expertise, professionalism, and care. Their attention to our safety and well-being was evident throughout, always ensuring we were in the best possible spirits to continue the climb. Cook Kurwa was another standout, delighting us with his creative and delicious meals. Every dish he prepared was a delightful surprise, and it kept us energized throughout the trek. The weather was perfect for our journey, and we were treated to breathtaking views, including a stunning sunrise on our way to the summit. We are immensely grateful to the entire Kilisa Tours team for helping us create such unforgettable memories.
