RONDE REIS Nadi Airport naar Hide-away resort en Tambua Sands

Flight Centre organised this trip and I had a great trip in an air-conditioned car to the resort. Upon arrival to the Resort, they played the drums which was nice. We were supposed to get a welcome drink, but didn't receive anything? Because it was 7:30pm I went straight to dinner. There was no choice to eat but in the dining hall. I found the prices to be very expensive for what you got. For example, my friend wasn't feeling well, and just wanted some ice cream. For 3 scoops of very cheap ice cream, I was charged $15. No topping, or fruit, just ice cream, $15. The prices were like a top hotel, but the food was very ordinary. I learnt very quickly not to buy meat products, as they were tough and ne made me feel ill. I couldn't eat the Kababs, and the head waitress Lisa, saw me gagging and asked if I was "OK"? I told her the meat was chewy and making feel ill. She didn't charge me for the meal! Some people I met hurt themselves on the coral and when they told the staff that they needed some medical help, they just looked at each other and suggested that they put vinegar on the wound! I couldn't believe it so went to reception, and they couldn't find a First Aid kit either. The lady form Canada complained when she was leaving and the found fer a band aid, which was not enough because he was going back to minus 11 in Canada and her husband was in so much pain, he couldn't wear shoes. They really needed a bandage and antiseptic cream or powder to apply to the wound. I would have thought this was a basic thing. The Resort itself is very tried and is I believe being renovated. The pool had black things floating around it but was used because of the heat and humidity. This should be rectified when the renovations are done. Overall, the Staff were very friendly and made the holiday great. There were a number of people from Australia who kept coming back, being there 8 and 12 times. Would I return? probably not in the near future, I found the food too expensive for what you got, and it was too far away to use an alternative.
