This driver was excellent. He was professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable of the area. He charged a fair price compared to other car hires I researched, particularly in regards to the fact that it was a last minute reservation. He was able to give us a ton of great background and history on the entire surrounding area from Mt. Vesuvius all the way to the coasts of Amalfi. His car was immaculate and spacious. He helped us with our luggage. Most importantly for us, he drove very safely and mindfully because we had our 7 month old daughter in the car. He was also mindful of how the twisting roads of the Amalfi coast can effect some passengers and checked on us regularly to see how we were doing in order to adjust his speed as needed. On a more personal note, we had actually reserved another service (Sixt via booking.com) that actually abandoned us at the train station and refused to give us a refund because our train was 30 minutes late. They came up with 20 excuses that were clearly lies and then were very rude via text message. More on that in another posted review). So this was a last minute reservation with Smooth Travel. Our driver arrived very soon after availability was confirmed. He ultimately was able to get us to our destination near the exact time we planned on being there due to his efficiency and great driving.
