Everest Base Camp Trek - 14 dagen

Ace the Himalayas is top notch in what they do, from start they coordinated well with us and agreed to our demand and the best was the detail itinerary that they went with us over an group call and answered our calls. The top notch service didn’t stop there it was just the start, as we landed we were received by our lead Sherpa Rajkumar who treated us royally throughout the trip, to all our asks within the group how small or large, whether it was breakfast, lunch or dinner ask he always worked to make it happened. He alone with Ramesh who was his assistant Sherpa worked through the group issues specially the EBC trip that is so demanding, ensured they provided the care, adjusted to the weather demands but kept the group moving that was an miracle with such a diverse group. They provided valuable information along the way on various mountains and history and also got us the incredible view on Mount Everest. We couldn’t have made and completed the trip without them.

Finding the right way to trek in Nepal can seem tricky and time consuming - so let me save you the time and tell you to go no further than Ace. The 14 day EBC trek was one of the best experiences of my life by far, brought into fruition by the care, knowledge, and personalities of our guide Pasang and our porter Lhakpa. We couldn’t have asked for any better people to navigate us on our first trek of this scale, and Pasang proved (like many people say) that he is the best of the best. I cannot recommend enough.

I’ve had Everest base camp on my bucket list for years and glad I finally got to do it a) in April when the weather was fabulous and the views were stunning b) with Ace who made the whole trekking experience enjoyable and far less daunting than I thought it would be. Right from the very start, the team was super responsive and approachable, starting with Sujan who was patient with my multiple calls/enquiries and very prompt with his information right up to the guides who patiently took us along the trek. Our 2 guides Maddy and Ramesh really were the highlight of my experience, with their infectious energy and laughter, gentle encouragement and genuine care brought the whole group together like a family and made each of us feel comfortable on this trek. On the difficult days, when I was lagging behind the group or wasn’t feeling well, Maddy and Ramesh would go out of their way to check on me, offer to carry my bags and walked right behind me without ever rushing me along, which I found to be so incredibly supportive and motivating. Even after i fell sick on my last day of the trek, they ensured I was sent to a top notch hospital and followed up to make sure I was feeling better and had everything I needed. Our 7 porters (Hira, Ganesh, Kushal, Kamal, Sohan, Kancha and Bigyan) were also incredible, always ensuring that our bags reached well in time and in good shape. Their spirit is incredible as right upto the last day of our trip, despite 12 days of heavy load carrying, they were totally upbeat and their positive energy was such a joy to witness, keeping us all motivated. We also had such a lovely international group of travellers that made for fantastic company during the trip and it was lovely to have us all come together to share in the experience, share some good laughs and share our stories, really getting to know each other in this short duration. The whole experience was superb and really made the journey of achieving my EBC dream, an incredibly fulfilling one thanks to the team’s efforts.
