The excursion provided what we had expected - a quick overview of the high point attractions of Washington DC. The area was covered at a quick pace, and the day lasted about 16 hours. Our guide and driver were friendly and accommodating. The cost of the trip was reasonable. We feel that Viator could have done a better job of communicating the trip details. We stopped half way in Delaware for a rest/food stop both ways. It would have been nice to know this was going to happen ahead of time. Also, we were instructed that passports were necessary for admission to Arlington National Cemetery. We did not need them. Finally, it was noted on the tour description that rest rooms were available on the bus. We were told by our guide that they were available for "emergency #1 reasons only." The air conditioning on the bus was not working properly, so those of us sitting in the back of the bus sweltered in the heat. We notified the guide and driver. They tried to fix it, but it still wasn't working properly. It was a hot day, so the ride back to NYC was not fun. The guide was friendly and explained the attractions, but we didn't feel he went above and beyond. Being that it was a large group, it was hard to hear all that he was saying, and because the walks moved at a fast pace, those at the back of the line didn't hear all of the presentation given at all stops. We did enjoy the final stop which was a photo op of the NYC night time skyline on the New Jersey side. All in all, the day was ok.
