4/5 stars simply because of the cost of admission. NYC residents should be pay as you wish.
No lines for entry or restrooms, yay. Restrooms were clean despite the museum being crowded. Tours were available, which make exhibits accessible to patrons. However, some tours are so large it’s difficult to hear. If I were an out of towner: I would go for the views of nyc. I would go because you can go to the Whitney, walk the Highline and ( if it’s warm weather) also visit Little Island. Both Highline & Little Island are free so it’s worth it. Three interesting NYC check out spots in one NYC day. It’s def a bonus if the Whitney has an especially fascinating artist on exhibit, such as Amy Sherald (may 2025 exhibit) I’d say it’s worth a visit.
