Took the early evening trip on TSS Earnslaw which was built in the same year as the Titanic but lasted somewhat longer, from the lounge you can see into the engine room and view the triple expansion steam engines propelling the vessel along with the engineers keeping the boiler stoked. On arrival the restaurant staff were all lined up waving to us, off the boat and our booking was checked and table quickly allocated. The buffet started with various seafoods, lovely prawns but needed to be shelled which doesn’t suit my wife, the main course choice of meat and veg was excellent and plentiful, I didn’t get as far as the sweets but I was assured they were a delight as well. On completion of the meal there was a sheep shearing and sheep dog show. Back to Queenstown on the Easnslaw for what was an excellent trip.
