Our guide Philip arrived on time to pick up us in the hotel and the car is clean and in good condition. He seemed to be very nice. However, I wanted to share my experience:
1. On the way to the food court, the guide took us to a store for coffee and another one for tea for the so-called "tasting". These two stores are set up for tourists and their only customers are brought by tour guides. Although the guide emphasized that we were not obligated to buy anything, it's felt weird. Especially, the so-called "tasing" is not included in the tour description.
2. The food court we were brought to is not the one in the Gurney Drive Hawker Center. It's a local and relatively smaller one with probably 20-30 stalls (definitely much less than hundreds of stalls claimed in the tour description). The food court provides basic options but nothing stands out. After we finished at the food court, we drove by the Gurney Drive Hawker Center, the guide claimed the food court here is so commercialized, not as good as the one he brought us. If that's true, why don't they include that in the tour description?!
3.The trishaw ride is not in the center of Georgetown. It's on one of the main roads cross the Georgetown, with heavy traffic, has nothing to see.
Overall, it's disappointment for the price we paid. Also surprised with two reviews giving 5 stars - it's felt like we joined a totally different tour!
