Picked up early on March 16 in a small but beautifully comfortable mini bus (most comfortable seats ever …) then a wonderful staged trip from Perth to Margaret River.
Great trip with the usual requisite stops including lunch to order delivered on arrival. Three short stops for breaks: a superb artist using recovered timbers, a long long pier at Busselton, a quaint church built as thanks for special shelter given on Crete in WWII, then a novel stop at the McLeod home to feed his horses carrots. Then to our overnight accommodation for a couple of nights.
This was with a package through Journey Beyond and the Indian Pacific.
A small group for a few days from and to Perth. Wineries, chocolates, stunning scenes to the south-western tip of the Australian mainland; a breathtaking cave and many steps up a lighthouse (or not).
And the bus trip back to Perth. Great service brilliantly organised with a small group who were strangers before we started.
The Margaret River Resort accommodated us well as busy as they were.
McLeod Tours gave us a great experience and returned us buzzing at the door from which we had left just a few days before.
