Overall very positive experience with this company and their pricing. This was not a private tour but it was a group tour combining visitors from Playa del carmen and Cancun. We had a full van with 10 guests, everyone wearing their masks during the commute to the boat but in a very close proximity. once we got on a boat we could space out and maintain the necessary distance. The staff was very nice and accommodating.
One downside, it was impossible to know how many people will be in the tour and our travel plans were complicated so we were accommodated in this group last minute. There is also very limited number of tours occurring in the area due to pandemic.
everyone got to snorkel with the whale sharks and manta rays several times, 2 people at a time. These creatures are magnificent and although I felt conscientious about the disturbance we may have caused them with our presence, seeing these creatures was absolutely amazing.

My girlfriend and I decided to take the tour in August for our birthdays, and it was worth every penny. It was a bit crazy once we arrived, trying to check everyone in, but everyone was really nice, and they offered sandwiches, coffee, juice, and water to everyone while they assigned the boats. Our guide was Ruben and he was amazing, along with everyone on the tour, especially the rest of the staff. Ruben went into great detail when explaining the whale sharks, what we should expect, and everything we needed to know before jumping in. His personality, and his attentiveness, truly enhanced the experience. Swimming with the whale sharks was an experience that I will never regret, they are so beautiful, so large, and so peaceful, its a bit surreal when you first encounter them. I was so glad we got to jump three additional times to really soak in the experience. Giovanni, our guide who swam with us during the whale shark portion, took phenomenal photos, and gave us tons of great tips on how to best enhance the swim while in the water with the sharks. After swimming with the whale sharks we headed towards the island known as, Isla Mujers, where Giovanni currently lived, so he was happy to tell us all about the town, including where to go if we came back to visit, what to do, and so much more. Thank you Giovanni, you were awesome. On the way to Isla Mujers we stopped off at a reef and got to snorkel for about 30 mins, there Ruben was our guide in the water, and he helped us spot some barracudas and sting rays. After the snorkel stop we finished off at Isla Mujers, and got to relax, eat, and drink a beer, in the water, at the beautiful beach of Playa Norte. This is possibly the most beautiful beach I have visited, with crystal clear waters, no waves, and waist deep water levels, it was a perfect way to finish the day. They feed us sandwiches and delicious fresh made guacamole, along with cold beer or water to rehydrate. We are vegan and they even made us special veggie sandwiches which was extremely nice. If you are thinking about booking this trip don't think twice, its one of the best tours we did. Ecotours adventure, Ruben, Giovanni, and Tony (the captain) made it that much better, thank you for such an amazing experience. A memory that will truly last forever.
