Had the most amazing instructor Marco R. I was full of anxiety and Marco was very attentive and made my experience as a first time diver a memorable one. Went above and beyond. Thanks to his magical photo skills, I have a pic of my first dive. Thank you to all the other staff who all gave me a high-five and pay on the back for completing my dives, special shout out to Luna was also very supportive and provided a few insights. I'm a first time diver and my boyfriend is certified so he wanted to take me to see if I liked scuba diving (he thinks it's a great refresher course). I can say, even with my slight fear of water, I am now super in to scuba diving and want to take it up for sure! The staff there are super organized, friendly, and really supportive (shout out to our diver instructor, Luna as well as Gaston who helped with the initial pool training). They ensure that you feel safe and get the most of the experience! You get there early (drive there or pick up) and then go to a shallow pool to ensure that you know the basics of the gear and how to breathe. The thing that takes the most getting used to is breathing out of the mouth but honestly when you're down there and have really given yourself time and then focus on all the wildlife, you get used to it! Luna really does deserve an extra shoutout - she helped me calm down and made the whole experience so incredible! She took pictures of us and the wildlife that we saw and we got it same day. We saw a giant manta swim right over us, had a devil stingray flip outside of the water right next to us, and saw eels, white-tipped reef sharks, NUMEROUS fish including puffers, rockfish, jellyfish, and other tropical fish! The Catalinas are beautiful! All to say, I'm clearly very pleased with this experience and think others should go!

We had a fantastic experience with the Pacific Coast Dive Center! Some in our group had zero dive experience and others had been certified many years ago. We found the equipment to be in great shape (some of us even received brand new wetsuits) and the whole operation to be extremely efficient and safety oriented. But the real stars were our lovely guides: Maria, Gaston, Marco, Andres, and all the rest. All were so, so kind and so patient, even with our nervousness. They are real professionals, helping us every step of the way, and took lots of pictures on our dive. We were lucky to have great conditions in the water and saw sharks, devil rays, and so many colorful fish. Thank you to the staff for making this an unforgettable experience!
