This was a great adventure for our family. Being city people we are not a very outdoorsy family but even with limited hiking experience it was a doable and very fun activity. Our guide Juan was very helpful along the way and taught our kids hand and foot placement and correct balance during our climbs and descents. We jumped off ledges (between 10 and 30 ft high) walked and swam through caves, and even saw bats. Juan was very knowledgeable about the history of the cave and the indigenous people who once lived there. We even got to see a petroglyph of the God of the Cave!
I definitely recommend this activity but make sure you are in somewhat good shape. Closed shoes are required, bring a towel and change of clothes, and in case you’re taking your phone bring a waterproof case for it. Swim vests are provided as well as light lunch and water. Thank you Juan for a fun adventure!
