Ik heb veel dingen gezien die ik volledig zou hebben gemist als ik het alleen zou verkennen (als jonge vrouwelijke soloreiziger), zoals de verschillende markten of culturele buurten. Onze gids was uiterst oprecht en deskundig; hij en ik namen zelfs een lunch (Cao Lau-noedels) na de tour op een lokale plek, wat uiteindelijk een van het beste eten was dat ik tijdens mijn drie weken in Vietnam had.
