My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the time we spent in our cooking class. Taormina is a very beautiful city. The restaurant that held the cooking class was very professional. I'm really happy with this and glad we experienced it. The trick is that the restaurant is busy. Our class started at 10:30 a.m. We met at 10 and they gave us breakfast and chatted with us about the plan of the day. We had requested no fish, and they completely accommodated us. We got a nice lesson and practice with bread and pizza dough and maccheroni which was super nice to learn. Then we observed other dishes being prepared in the kitchen. We were able to help on those dishes a little bit. The restaurant had big groups of people coming for lunch. It was amazing that they were able to fit us in for a lesson. And we ate until there was no tomorrrow! The only thing that would make this experience better would be a slower pace. I completely understand why they needed to fit us in, but I would have gotten more out of this experience if the lesson were longer. I would absolutely do this again but would just expect to learn one or two dishes at a time -- not the entire meal. Oh my goodness -- everything was so good! I can't wait to make some of the dishes here at home. They emailed all the recipes to us.
