This is a great way to pack in a lot in one day without feeling rushed. Our guide Bunpheng spoke good English and has a lot of knowledge about the temples and specific carvings. If you don’t do private tours very often, I recommend you relax into the comfortable, leisurely pace. You will have all the time you need to take photos and rest if you need to. The driver is also very attentive. Always prompt and met us with cold towels and drinks. It is extremely hot so dress appropriately or you will be miserable. I wore a big hat, cotton dress and carried a handheld fan. I also sought out shade where I could.
Our itinerary was pick up from hotel @ 4:30 am, go to Angkor Wat for sunrise, explore Angkor, on to Ta Prohm, then one more temple (I forget the name). We had lunch (delish) then went back to the hotel @ 11:30. Pick up at hotel @ 3 pm and on to Banyon Temple for sunset. Not sure if it was just the time of year (April) but we basically had the place to ourselves. The whole day was magical.
