Had we not paid $90 (incl tax) for this hour-long tour, I might have been a little more generous with my rating of 3 blobs. Overall, the tour felt somewhat rushed and perfunctory with no visit to the distillery itself, only a distant view of the barrel store. As such, you don't get to smell the celebrated aromas that are, by repute, an unforgettable memory of such an atmospheric space.
The way I justified such expenditure to myself when I booked was the opportunity to try the 4 and 5 star editions which could easily cost $50 a shot in a bar. However, whilst highly commendable, if I am honest, I would say I have tasted better for less and so felt somewhat overcharged for the experience.
On the up-side, the 'complimentary' cocktails were truly a work of art and delivered the best pina colada I had the whole time on Puerto Rico. If you arrive with little time to enjoy your cocktail, order it at the end so you can watch the skill and artistry of the highly talented mixologists.
