Having watched the show as i write this review, must say very impressive. The main narrator guy is hilarious and the acts are truly diverse as they are entertaining!!
However! There are a numbers of cons which the company seriously need to review....
1. As someone else commented on here, the seating is an extreme issue. Tables FAR too close together within a limited space, so if your claustrophobic this may be something to be mindful of. We personally as a group of 3 were sat at back of the room (as only paid for drinks package), and right next to us on my left was another table with a little girl who would not stop figiting in her seat. I know se didnt mean to but as she was sat right next to me this resulted in me constantly getting elbowed or hit in the back and thigh where i was badly sumburned, thus making me very uncomfortable.
I would move if only for the fact there is literally nowhere i could move my seat to, legs already tucked into what i would call a 'side table' (for its size), and surrounded by other tables with little to no space between them.
You cant even get to the little souvenier stand beside the stage during the break without squeezing between tables, there is no route around the edge of the room unfortunately. Same situation if you want the toilet....
2. Again as someone has already identified, there is a serious safety risk in the event of fire due to the close proximiy of tables nd chairs to each other, very poor planning. Would hate to imagine what chaos would follow should everyone need to be evacuated in an emergency!!!
I would advise the company, should they truly care about the welfare and safety of thier customers and staff alike, that they take this advice to heart and instead of focusing on trying to cramp as many people into one space as possible, you be realistic and limit capacity in favour of spreading out your tables further!! There is no sound reason you cannot do this, the show is great and you would still get your moneys worth, but operate at a safe capacity instead of putting lives potentially at risk. I would recommend you remove about 10 tables at least to give the venue more space and allow freedom of movement.
Prior to the show i had to even watch as some of your staff struggled to wade and squeeze between seats to serve customers and get back to the bar, its just not practical as things currently stand and it makes me feel sorry for the staff.
Another reason i want to bring safety to attention is that at least 2 performances involved use of fire, and i watched as an assitant by side of stage behind the curtains was putting them out during the acts with a cloth. From my perspective this look to be done far too close to the curtains for my liking, as i would have no idea if those curtains are fireproof, what if one day they caught fire?!
3. Ventalation. Its a bit stuffy and no air con, so i would suggest people bring your mini fans if you have them, as can get warm.
Again though this links back to the fire issue, when the first acts perform the smoke cannot escape fast enough for lack of ventilation, meaning the room is quickly overcome with the smell of smoke and this takes a while to dissapate. Not very nice to breath in.....
As things stand the show is great, but they seriously need to reconsider the layout of the room for reasons stated as above.
4. The food. So glad we paid for drinks only, as food options very limited whether your VIP, gold or silver. The food itself that was served up on the night did not look very appetising, a couple next to us left almost all their starter salad and prawns i think it was. We enjoyed a nice fish and chips at the olivers pub in salou prior to coming for a fraction of the cost the upgrade would ave cost us. The only true benefit to upgrading to silver, gold or VIP as far as we were concerned was your seating placment in the room.
5. Customer service by bar staff. We were sat at table 89, and seated before the row of tables behind us. Yet somehow every table around us and behind including them got served drinks as fast as they sat down. Meanwhile we were left to wave down a waitress for ages before the manager's wife actually bothered to see to us, and we saw nothing of the magicians going around the tables before and between acts 1 and 2....not that we were too bothered about this ourselves, but its very hit and miss as to who gets the privilage and who doesnt regardless of what seating or band you are....
6. The raffle. During act 2 the waitresses go around offering you the chance to buy tickets for the raffle/tombola, which btw you wont know if you have a winning ticket until after the show as your leaving though the exit doors. If you want to participate, it will cost you €5 for 3 tickets, or €10 for 10 tickets!! You think thats expensive? Try there are only 4 or so prizes, which when you consider the amount of people in attendance and that every table has likely bought tickets too makes what are already slim odds of you having a winning ticket even slimmer!!! What a rip off!
To summarise, the show itself is great, but everyththing else from the planning, customer service experience, the food to pretty much everything needs seriously reviewing and amedning. If it were not for these faults then this could be a real show stopper event.
