We had a very pleasant day on the Arctic Queen. The vessel was impressive, clean and spacious for the six passengers that day. The skipper, Kal was friendly and informative and made a delicious fish soup for lunch. We saw numerous wonderful orca whales, but even though Kal was very persistent (searching till dusk) unfortunately we didn’t see humpbacks. Better luck next time! Would definitely recommend this cruise.

Definitely NOT RECOMMENDED traveling with this company, they don't care about customers' feelings, they only care about money. I booked a fishing group on the morning of February 7th. the weather was really bad. Most similar tours have been cancelled. They still continue to go to sea, but due of the strong wind, the boat was very bumpy, we didn’t do anything, There was no fish soup, no sea fishing, nobody speaking anything about the city or about the fishing with us . my son and I could only bumpy on the boat for two hours, and we didn’t really seen the scenery because we had seasick. My accidentally opened the life jacket in the middle, I told the captain and said sorry to him. The captain yelled at us and asked us to pay for it. I told him I’m totally ok to pay just asking if it can be cheaper but why he had such an attitude towards us, why he yelled at me in front of my six-year-old child, my son was crying after that. It made me appear to have a bad attitude in front of my son too... in the end I Give him the credit card and let him swipe as much as he likes, he swiped 400. During the whole trip, the captain didn’t smile at all, didn’t saying hi or welcome to us, didn’t really told us how to use the life jacket, didn’t spoke anything about Tromsø. I called his boss seemed the boss didn’t really care what happened. It definitely the worst tour I had in my life.
we booked a small group of four, Tesla your with them They changed it into a seven-person van group without our consent, we saw a little bit of the aurora. The tour guide with the boss too he took a group photo with the aurora for all of us in the same group and said that he will send photos to us when we got back to the hotel. In the end I also received their photos, but for all other people’s pictures in the group. but without even one photo of me and my son,
What a day! My son and I had one fishing tour and one northern light tour with them. paid more than 600 euros and we got a such rubbish service! I looked online there’s more than 5 reviews saying the captain Per-Larsen yelled or speak very bad to customers. And his boss Kurt is only trying defending his company and his captain Per Larsen. Only says it’s because of the weather or just not good luck. Or it’s just because the customer has bad behavior. Look at his reply for the review, he was saying like it’s the customers fault, some of the customers said somebody wanted to create problems. So funny right?? He wrote something similar like me and my son had bad behavior “Some even said you should have been set back on the quay and not allowed to come onboard at all. You actually was a reason that the other guests also feel unhappy on your behaf..”for them of course it’s always the customers’ fault!
Of course he will never fire Per Larsen, because the manager is Kurt Larsen, they’re from the same family ! This is why after so many people responded to various problems of their company and the character of the captain, they did not make any improvement, but every time they defended the captain again and again, usually he attacked the customers who responded to the problem, and said every time he tried the best, he can always say it's because of the weather they can't control or just because the customer has bad behavior.
But for me. As a mother, I always trying my best to be nice with people to be a good model for my son. But when somebody shouted loud in front of us when some thing happened I was really heartbroken and mad. I really had to defend myself and my son. I yelled him back. And the other 2 customers saw when I yelled him back but they didn’t seem the whole story. I will never shout at people first but if people shout at me I can’t stay calm!
I travelled more than 20 countries it’s the first time I have ever seen a travel company gave service like this!
Anyway. Never go back again with them even if there’s a free trip. Maybe not go back to Norway again because of the bad memories because of them!
