Cruise it is not. The boat hardly moves, it goes from Paphos Harbour to Yeroskipou and stops there, much the same as the glass bottom boats, but without the shipwreck, and 4 long hours later goes back. The food was very good and if I could review the food only, the trip would score far higher, make sure though you have a good lunch that day, portions are not huge. However, this whole trip is based on customers spending as much money on drink as possible, so cocktails, champagne, wine, beer, spirits you name it. As soon as you get on board that's all they want you to do, hence the 4 hours, the more money the better. I'm all for people enjoying themselves but when they arrive dressed for a deluxe dinner, high heels, cocktail dress, and 3 hours later are rolling about on the deck with their dress round their waist, flashing their underwear, and when people start spilling their drinks over other people, you just think really that's enough but no, the drink still flowed. As for the entertainment, the aero dancer ok, but I thought scantily clad females gyrating to Lady Gaga was a thing of the past but obviously not, still I'm sure the men on board appreciated it. And sorry ladies not a scantily clad male in sight. The host if that's what he was, didn't see the point of him at all. Guitarist was good, singer should stick to weddings. The fireworks were ok and at that point I though yippee, it's the end we are heading back......nope, they dragged it out even longer. There was at least 15 people on that boat, me included, who were all wondering whether we were ever going to get off. There were definitely under 18's on the boat not that it made any difference to me, but they looked thoroughly fed up, but perhaps some of the really drunk passengers may have acted as a warning to them on the perils of overindulging in alcohol.
Definitely an experience I'll remember, but for all the wrong reasons.
After a brilliant all inclusive day trip the day before, we booked this as an end of holiday treat.
It was fantastic! Tables all set with white linen on top deck, attentive and friendly staff (big shout out to Sheryl who looked after us!)
The food was superb, served under a silver cloche and piping hot ans fresh.
The entertainment was brilliant, three very talented dancers, a singer and stunning aero-dancer. All were brilliant, very engaging and faultless in their performance.
The fireworks were great, a lovely addition to the night.
Not sure of the hosts name but he was (like Joseph the day before) an excellent compere and host and very entertaining.
Oh, and congratulations to the beautiful couple that got engaged on our trip, down on one knee on the dancefloor!
