Alton Towers Resort 1 dag toegangsbewijs

We visited for the day on Friday 21st June. It wasn’t half term but the park was absolutely rammed. Some of the queues were over 70 minutes long which is just ridiculous when you’ve got younger kids. I love how they’ve kept the nature around the park and lots of green areas. The kids had a blast of course. However I would deffo bring food next time because £23.00 for two hot dogs is absolutely ridiculous. Drinks wise I would definitely get the refill cup again as that saved a fortune on drinks which were stupidly priced! The staff we came across were very polite and the actors around the park are a great touch.

We arrived early so we could start queuing up for the big rides and headed straight for them when wernt bad early on but unfortunately nemisis had broken down before anyone had chance to ride so everyone was evicted from the qué, they did fix the issue very fast and 20 mins later qué was open again. The big ques weren't unexpected but usually not as bad as they had been at this time of year, even the ques in cbeebies were ridiculous as normally there not. Lots of actors walking around interacting with you and had an Alton bear walk round towards end of day for photos. Food as expected was a rip off and beer was £7.50 a pint but again you expect that. Parking was fine and monorail was working well and efficient despite the ques all staff were polite and friendly especially the woman at the driving school. A good day was had but yes get there early plan the rides you really want to do first and exspect ques. Another good tip is big rides go quieter from 430 /5 with ride times alot less than throughout the day.

Been coming to Alton towers for over 5 years every June and stayed at Alton towers hotel. This was the worst so far. We arrived to our room relitavaly clean apart from the soft half eaten Oreo on the side?!?!! Pic attached?! Breakfast has gone downhill, no Nutella , only strawberry jam no other flavours, floor so sticky by drinks machines and long waits for bacon and sausages meaning other food goes cold. Fruit also only two options of pineapple and melon unlike previous years where a lot more on offer. Also ate at flambos one evening which was awful and wouldn’t return. No burgers, pizza or chicken like before just rubbish cold food. My hungry teenage boys hardly ate anything as food so poor. Ate next two nights at rollercoaster restaurant much better. Staff at hotel were lovely as always and friendly. Just restaurant staff at flambos were bit rude and awful food. Not sure after 6 years I would return and it takes a lot to put me off but this stay was no where near as good as previous years.
