We did this safari during the Christmas holidays and it was absolutely amazing. Honestly, everything met (and even exceeded) our expectations. If you’re choosing a guide, Haruni is the one. He’s funny, super reliable, incredibly experienced, and clearly loves what he does. A safari guide needs sharp eyes—and Haruni definitely has them. We managed to see all of the Big Five, which was just incredible. He also knows the animals extremely well and is very knowledgeable about their behavior, habitats, and daily routines, which made every sighting even more interesting. Through him, I learned not only about nature and wildlife, but also about the people, culture, and even the language of Tanzania, which added so much depth to the whole experience. On top of that, he knows exactly where to position the car to get great photo angles, so we didn’t just see the animals—we came back with fantastic pictures too. We traveled during the rainy season, when it’s easy for vehicles to get stuck in the mud, but we never had a single issue, even with some seriously heavy rain. What really stood out was how clean Haruni kept the car, while many other vehicles were completely covered in mud and their passengers could barely see outside. Haruni is also great at managing time and routes. He could sense changes in the weather, adjust plans on the spot, and always took our preferences into account. Every morning, the car was cleaned and ready before we headed out, which showed how much care he puts into his work. The team at Lion King Adventures also did a fantastic job. On our last day at Lake Manyara, there were network problems and many people couldn’t get their entry permits—but ours had been arranged early, so everything went smoothly. When we weren’t happy with one of the accommodations, they quickly helped us find another place to stay. Overall, an unforgettable safari experience. Highly recommend Lion King Adventures, and especially Haruni—we’d choose him again in a heartbeat! Asante!
