The flowers were beautiful. The cheese lady was just okay. Could not see clog maker since his work area was small and lots of people. Time was a little too long at both stops. Surprised that we were only given canal ride tickets to use another day. Could not use since day after your tour was our Cruise departure day. Should have been informed that canal tour was an independent tour

Not worth the money at all! Tour guide only discussed what our plan is for the day and mentioned that there are 7MM flowers in the garden. There was nothing else and we expected a “guided” tour with more information to learn. When we got to the garden he was with us for 20 min out of 3.5 hours and 10 of the 20 min we were walking. He only showed us and explained what the park consists and to go to pavilions and where to get lunch. There was mo history, no professional guiding. Extremly disappointed.

Let me start by saying that the customer service team at “This is Holland” were very nice and helpful and this review in no way reflects their professionalism in dealing with a bad situation. We had booked a small group tour (no more than 8 people) through Tripadvisor that included a guided private tour of Keukenhof, a two hour canal tour with a “Captian’s Lunch”, and cheese tasting at a traditional cheese farm. However, when we arrived we were told that we were going to be placed on a large tour bus with a large group. I told the gentleman at "This is Holland" that there was a miscommunication and that we were scheduled for a private tour. They called Viator and were told that Viator, via Tripadvisor, had booked the large group tour on our behalf. We were also informed by "This is Holland' that we were charged 8x the cost of the large group tour. I am in a wheelchair and could not access the large tour bus, which is why we picked the private tour to ensure a vehicle without steps. The "This is Holland" team placed us in a six-seat van for our tour. Turns out that the driver was a commissioned taxi driver (the taxi rooflight was in the trunk of the van) and was not a tour guide. He drove us and two other couples to Keukenhof, Zaanse Schans, the Henri Willig cheese farm, and a fishing village named Volendam. At each stop, we were not provided any kind of guidance and were left to tour these locations on our own. At one point, I had to ask the driver where we were going as he drove us in relative silence. When we arrived at Volendam, the driver suggested that we eat lunch at this fishing village, but he could not provide specific recommendations as he does not like fish. After this, we returned back to the starting point to end the tour. I contacted Tripadvisor to request a partial refund. Their first response is that we would receive no refund as we should have cancelled the tour 48 hours in advance, which is ridiculous of course, as we would never have anticipated not getting the tour we booked. After pointing this out, Tripadvisor then offered to refund 10%, which still leaves us paying around $400 USD for two Keukenhof entrance tickets and a taxi ride to the locations mentioned above. To those reading this review, we learned that Tripadvisor and other companies use Viator to book tours. We would never have booked this tour had we known, as Viator has a terrible reputation. Buyer beware and do your homework before booking.
