Rome: Colosseum, Arena en ondergrondse privétour met pick-up

We were so lucky to have Marco an archaeologists do out tour. The hotel pick-up was on time next time if would upgrade to the drop-off option due to the summer heat it would have been great. We learnt so much from Marco so many truly fascinating facts & stories about the many different activities that took place in the Colosseum & its development over time. The Forum was beautiful & the architecture for the time was amazing. Marco was very attentive to details & is passionate about the ruins & their history. Marco was very considered of my mobility issues arranging for me yo use lifts and doing the tour at a slower pace. Thank you Marco for a wonderful morning we thoroughly enjoyed the knowledge you shared with us. We highly recommend this tour to anyone to go to the underground.

We selected the Private Colosseum, Arena and Underground Tour with Pick-Up from our hotel. In addition, we added the Palatine Hill tour onto this. We were so fortunate to have Rosie (Rosalba) as our tour guide. She met us in our hotel lobby promptly and right on time. She was friendly and welcoming. Our ride to the Colosseum/Palatine Hill was very comfortable. Rosie pointed out highlights along the way with history and stories. My daughter and I were so interested in one of the sights pointed out on the way, that we walked back to it the next day for a closer look and some pictures. We started our tour with the Palatine Hill portion and Rosie was so knowledgeable and thorough in explaining the history and how society worked back then. I don't have an extensive knowledge of history myself, but I was able to get such a fantastic understanding of Roman history from Rosie's explanations. She was open to all our questions and was very relatable. She made history very interesting and engaging. This says a lot, as it was a very hot day in Rome. Rosie was very considerate and aware of our comfort, looking for shaded areas to stop and talk. We proceeded to the Colosseum after Palatine Hill for a very special Underground Tour. Rosie led the way making our entry seamless and smooth. It was a very special experience being in an area of the Colosseum that has limited access. Rosie was able to lead us through explaining what life looked like back then. It felt very private even though there were a few other small groups in the area. Rosie was able to maneuver the spaces with ease making it feel like we were the only ones there. There is so much to learn about these sights and I feel like we were really blessed to have Rosie share all of her knowledge with us about these special places. I felt like we were saying goodbye to a dear friend at the end of our tour. She helped us with directions on how to best get transportation back to our hotel before departing. We highly recommend getting Rosie (Rosalba) for this tour if you are fortunate enough to be able to. It was a day we made a lifetime memory. This is a tour that was well worth the investment.

This was an amazing tour! Our tour guide was Pamela Cavino, and I would highly recommend her. I wasn't sure what to expect as I did not know anyone who had done the underground tour before, but we were all very excited that we did it. It felt like we got to go through every inch of the Colosseum and learned so much about what went on there! We got to skip the very long lines and get right in everywhere we went. And we got to access areas that most tourists don't get to see. Pamela was so knowledgeable about everything and really brought history to life for us. It's a very "premium" tour, and I highly recommend our guide Pamela! We also added the Roman Forum tour and the Pantheon, both of which were excellent.
