I hate this airport.
Travelling to and from Tunis is always stressful. There is no transit facility unless flying with Tunisair. This means everyone else has to clear immigration twice, including payment of the airport arrival fee. And then there is the chaos caused by a serious lack of social conscience and failure to enforce the rules. For example, getting on the plane with three big bags is great for the owner but seriously disrespectful of others who only have one bag and find themselves without stowage space. Check-in staff and cabin crew do nothing to enforce the rules (nor a culture of respect for others). At immigration, there is a line for diplomats which is full of non-diplomats. Why? Because passengers want to jump the normal queue. At the luggage retrieval carousels, people put their bags and trolleys in front of the conveyor belt, blocking access for others. It's the same at the cafeteria, taxi rank, and the car parking. Taxi drivers dropping people at departures also collect incoming passengers, jumping the queue on their colleagues in the taxi rank down stairs. Having jumped the queue, they then want more than double (sometimes triple) the price of the normal fare, claiming "airport wait times".
