This was our very favorite activity while visiting Montreal.
Rob guided us through Jean Talon, a very large food market and then to another, Marché Atwater, explaining the various cuisines and what chefs look for when buying in preparation for their dishes.
One should come hungry as Rob had us sample a host of foods from around the world.
Although it was not “private”, we did enjoy the three ladies who joined us.
A bonus for us was that post tour, Rob was heading back in the same direction as our hotel and offered to accompany us on the 30 minute walk.
As wine enthusiasts, we stopped in a liquor store nearby and he curated a selection of wine for us to consider. Very good! Additionally, he helped us secure reservations for two nights of dinner that were outstanding and where more locals/chefs dine.
We would definitely recommend this tour. In fact, we will plan to book his Supper Club next time we are in town.
