When we planned this trip, doubts filled the air—were we still strong enough? In a few years, we’ll all be 50. One of us already is. But we showed up anyway.
From the moment we arrived in Sabah, we checked and rechecked our gear, admired the stunning mountain, and silently prayed for good weather. And the skies answered—clear and kind.
The climb tested everything: our bodies, our breath, our willpower. Scrambling up with hands and feet, battling pain and fatigue, we pressed on. I was in awe of my teammates—pushing through back pain, shortness of breath, and aching limbs. True grit.
Reaching the summit together was unforgettable. The rare beauty of the forest, the silence of the peaks, and that crisp mountain air—made us forget the pain for a moment.
But coming down? Even harder. Muscles trembling, minds foggy, one of us saw mirages. And yet—step by step—we made it. We waited anxiously for the last to arrive, and when we were all reunited, safe and sound, we knew: this was more than a climb.
It was a journey into ourselves. A test of spirit. A quiet triumph.
The body may be sore, but the heart is full.
We did it. Together.
We had a wonderful time together, with smooth travels from beginning to end. Huge thanks to the amazing organizers who made this all possible!
