We visited the salt mines through trip advisor. i would say the experience itself was very surreal and one of a kind type of tour. however, i did not choose to use a transfer for this tour as it wasn’t more than 20 minutes from my hotel. i wish i did in the end. although i ended up getting my tickets etc. it was very confusing. tripadvisor told me to redeem my tickets i had to go to the meet point which was pin pointed on a map in the middle of no where. whereas in the description it told me to go straight to the salt mines behind a rock. as i was confused by all of this i decided to go to the information desk where she showed me where to wait. this was very helpful even though it was a simple task for me to figure out????once she showed us to the meeting point, we waited for our time slot and no one came. eventually after asking about 8 differnt people, a lady showed up and was very polite and gave us our tickets. she explained that they had to change the tour time to 12 which was an hour after we were supposed to start the tour. but she helped us with the queuing and explained that our tour guide would be inside and after a long wait we were inside the mine and was shown around by (I think) Marco?? he was very well spoken and explained lots of historical facts about the mine with us. he also had a good sense of humour which is always a nice thing. he was so good and very patient with many others in the group who wanted to take photos and those who were a little slower than the others. he even escorted us to the elevator at the end and after 2 hours of walking in the rather warm mines we had the best time we could have imagined!
