The third stadium tour with my 6 year old son. It’s important to note that this a good old fashioned guided tour as opposed to the standard fare of letting the punters do it themselves.
We booked the first tour of the day at 9.30am, recommend you get there early so you can take photos on Wembley Way (Olympic Way) without the crowds. Also, it’s not signposted amazingly well, you need to make your way to the Bobby Moore statue, again another pre tour photo opp.
The first 30 minutes is milling around the exhibits and that is followed by a 90 minute tour of the usual areas, stadium view, pitch side, changing room, press room etc.
The tour ended at the stadium shop, the merch is very average as it is a Fanatics non-experience. The tour guide was very good, our group was about 40 people and the pace was good, not pedestrian but enough time to take photos.
There is nowhere to buy any refreshments once you arrive at the stadium which is not ideal when you forget to take water for your son so arrive prepared. There is a CoOp back on the Way if you do forget.
This was my son’s favourite of the three tours so far, we have previously done Chelsea and Arsenal.
