While the actual tour activities were enjoyable (coffee-making demonstration, massage, and coffee body scrub), the poor organization and customer service significantly detracted from the experience.
Communication Issues:
- Despite messaging the company multiple times for confirmation, I only received essential details less than 12 hours before the tour
- We were suddenly told we needed bathing suits (which we hadn't brought) or would have to purchase them on-site
- Transportation costs were quoted at one price, then doubled the morning of the tour
- Meeting instructions were vague, leading to confusion at the metro station
Day-of Problems:
- Our guide was visibly annoyed when we went to the "wrong entrance" (no specific meeting spot had been provided)
- Constant upselling throughout the experience
- Payment confusion: we were told swimsuits were complimentary, then asked to pay the driver cash 10 minutes after leaving (we only had cash for tickets and expected to pay by card)
- Had to resolve payment issues via Zelle after the fact
The tour itself had potential, but better organization, clearer upfront communication, and professional customer service would have made this a much more enjoyable experience. The last-minute changes and payment confusion left us feeling frustrated rather than relaxed.
